          Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser has been forced to shave his head in a bid to age his character as the hit series enters the late 1960s.

          The 33-year-old actor, who plays uptight and smug advertising executive Pete Campbell, showed off his clearly receding hairline as he turned up to the SAG Awards with his fiancée Alexis Bledel in January.

          In the new sixth season of Mad Men, slimy Pete is already somewhat of a broken man after being caught cheating by his wife Trudy - and Vincent revealed he had shaved his hairline and put on 25 pounds for the role.
