          Biography of Richard Tyler

          Early Life and Career

          Richard Tyler was born in 1946 in Sunshine, Australia.

          His mother was a seamstress, working on costumes for ballet and theater productions. At the age of 16, Richard left school to work on Savile Row, where he learned the art of tailoring.

          Establishing his Own Brand

          In 1964, Tyler opened his own store in Melbourne called 'Zippity-doo-dah', featuring clothing designs created by his mother.

          In the 1970s, he became a designer for rock stars. His success led him to move to Los Angeles, California, USA in 1984.
