Dilip Dhawan was a talented actor associated with Bollywood in the 1970s and 1980s. Though he stayed in the industry for a long time he couldn’t earn the recognition which he actually deserved.

Dilip Dhawan was born in He was an actor and director, known for Saath Saath (), Virasat () and Peter John ().

He is best known for playing the lead role in Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan in 1978 and the iconic series of Doordarshan in the 1980s - Nukad, where he essayed the role of Guru. He was also a film producer who co-produced the film, Saath Saath, in 1982.

He acted in more than 50 films, in a career spanning to more than three decades. He started his film journey as a child artist in 1968.

 

Dhawan mostly played supporting roles on Bollywood screen. He also appeared in a few TV shows.

He also played less significant roles on silver screen.
